Miata NA8 IACV Blockoff Plate

This plate blocks off the bottom of the throttle body allowing you to remove the idle air control valve body. Designed for use in vehicles where EGR/emissions or intake heating lines are being removed. Makes great clearance when doing coolant reroutes (especially on turbo cars). Install Notes: Four M6x12 machine screws are required. There is also a complex o-ring type gasket between the IACV and Throttle body (part number: B6BF-13-W89); I re-used the stock one on my prototype car and added a thin coat of rtv on top of it, it has held up just fine at >20PSI of boost. 3D Print Notes: This plate must be printed from a rigid, heat-resistant, and solvent resistant material. ABS is not sufficient, even though it is often considered fine for intake-side components, this part bolts directly to the throttle body and can be exposed to a fair amount of heat and vapors. I used PPS-CF for my prototype car since it is quite rigid. Printed with 40% infill using a gyroid pattern, with 6-8 bottom shell layers, and 6 wall loops (important for mounting holes). IMPORTANT: You NEED aftermarket tuning (standalone ecu, etc) for your car to run well with this mod. Not for use on emissions controlled vehicles. License types: - Personal: 3D print file with a personal use only license. - Professional: File pack with with .STL, .STEP, or other applicable files. For use where less-restrictive files are needed, license allows modifying geometry for in-house use (not for re-sale). - Commercial: File pack with source files for modifying, producing and reselling, license is permissive.
